Two federal schemes lower the upfront cost of solar in Australia. Both come off your quote as a discount, and both get smaller over time.
Under the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, eligible solar systems earn certificates that come straight off your price. The number of certificates drops every 1 January, and the scheme ends in 2030.
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program takes around 30% off the upfront cost of an eligible battery. The discount rate was reduced on 1 May 2026 and is scheduled to keep stepping down until 2030.

The price depends on the system size, your roof, the panel and inverter brands you choose, and whether you add a battery. Federal rebates are taken off the price upfront. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after looking at your roof and power bills.
Most Australian homes install between 6.6 kW and 13 kW, but the right size depends on how much power you use, your roof space and your network's export limits. We size your system from your actual bills.
A battery stores daytime solar for the evening, when power prices are highest. With the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program taking around 30% off eligible batteries, payback is shorter than it used to be. Batteries suit homes that use a lot of power at night.
Most home installations are finished in one day. Commercial systems take longer depending on their size. Network approvals and meter changes can add a few weeks before your system is fully switched on.
